Research in the Agnarsson lab focuses on systematics and evolution of SPIDERS and phylogeny of MAMMALS. Current spider projects include biogeography, evolution of sociality and inbreeding, biodiversity estimation, silk biomechanics, phylogeography, population genetics, ecology, behavior, conservation, morphology, and taxonomy. Current mammal projects include phylogenies of mammal orders, evolution of acoustic communication and brain size. Departmental teaching assistantships are available for M. Sc. and Ph. D. students.
